Dr. Pizzi's professional practice is devoted to clinical and forensic psychology. He received his Doctor of Psychology degree from Yeshiva University (www.yu.edu/Ferkauf) in New York City, and is licensed at the highest level for psychologists in Michigan and Florida.
Dr. Pizzi completed his postdoctoral residency in the behavioral treatment of adolescent males in Miami, Florida, where he also continued his extensive training & specialization working with the Latino & GLBT communities. Dr. Pizzi has been designated as an expert in forensic psychology by several Michigan courts, and is certified by the American Psychological Association as a Psychologist HIV Trainer. He has traveled throughout the USA & Canada, as well as to Europe, Australia, Central & South America, Mexico, Puerto Rico & Cuba. He has a passion for Latin-American cultures in particular, and achieved oral & written fluency in Spanish when he was a teenager.
Dr. Pizzi brings a wealth of unique clinical & life experiences, as well as his sense of humor, to help his clients live healthier, more satisfying lives. His private office in downtown Royal Oak, Michigan, provides a welcoming and caring setting with a focus on confidentiality and trust.
